Silence in the Studio
You grab the thick black cable and yank it hard. POP! The red meter goes dark. The humming stops. The room feels still — too still.
You breathe out. Safe. Then your phone buzzes in your pocket. Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. You pull it out with shaky hands. Every news app is flashing the same words: STRANGE SOUND ON ALL RADIOS!
You stop the sound here, but it is everywhere else. Out the window, a car sits in the middle of the street. The driver stares at nothing, frozen stiff. You have to do something. Fast.
